She
is 4 years and from Nogales, Mexico. She is a double-amputee. Her feet were so
disfigured that she would never walk. At age 2, she went to Shriners Hospital
for amputation. She returns to the Clinic regularly for check ups and to have
her prostheses adjusted. When she got her first prostheses, she would not walk
with them. After 3 days, we called in our special therapist-a golden retriever
who licked her face and left the room. Lupita took off chasing the dog and has
not stopped running since! |
